Wondering if they will make them legal to run in the 4x4 SC class?

I think the HV motors should be aloud. There has been some problems with the slash motors getting to hot when it is 80 degrees outside. With a 2s lipo the HV motors are torqy and run cooler. I don't think we have any rules set in yet for this class. When will we vote on these rules, I definitely want to be there to vote for HV motors.

Mark, I believe it is going to be on the 22nd at hardee's. I want to be there too. I just bought a HV 4.5 for my slash 4x4. If they are allowed I'll race it, if they aren't then I'll just use it as a basher and not race it. But I would like the opportunity to vote on it.

I have seen many many threads on rctech about people frying the 540 based motors on the 4x4's because they run way too hot. I'm just wondering if Novak is making these specifically for the 1/10 4x4 SC trucks, do they know something about roar rules in advance??? Hopefully so!

HMM???? seems I remember you HATE Novak Mark, now you want to run them??
we have even turned the 1st shovel on the offroad & you want to water down the classes??
weren't you the one bit@h'n about the long race day??
and weren't you the one bit@ch'n about forcing racers to buy motors?? and these are a heck of a lot more $$$ than a 25.5!!!!!
no way we will run the 'modified' 4x4's with stockers
and for the offroad we will need 6 racers to make a class not 4
so whatever you guys want to do
I'm sure we will have more than enuf 2wd CORR trucks, stock or mod LOL!!
or even 1/8 scale buggies!!
Good Luck

Not sure I understand what a 25.5 has to do with 4wd corr trucks??? But all the 4wd corr trucks are mod. They are so heavy with the drivetrain that it takes a mod motor to move the truck...

Although i'm not sure what the motor is that comes with a 4wd slash. I do know it's a mod rated motor. So I guess I don't understand what rules you could put with the class other the tires and bodies?

The slash comes with a 3500kv motor, the novak 5.5 is 3700kv, 6.5 is 3400kv. Novak motors are very good but, there speedos are junk. I didn't like having to use the just Novak motors and speedos in VTA. I am not watering down the class or making people buy motors, heck I don't have a different motor yet, still the same one I got with the truck off your shelve. If the these 540 motors do get hot and burn up, then they might look at buying one of these 550 motors, they run way cooler. The race day will be the same length, since there isn't any stock 4wd 1/10th scale class, all the tracks I have been to online or seen in person, there rules leaves the motor rules to 550 max w/ a 2s lipo. I do encourage everyone that has a 4wd corr and are members be at the meeting to make sure they don't make it a stock class w/17.5 motor. I will try to be there about 7:30, I have golfing that day.
