Sunday Evening asphalt??

This POLL is for your opinion/help on why we are having less than Stellar turnouts for asphalt

Please keep your posts/opinion POSITIVE & realitive to the subject

We [OVRCCC] would consider Sunday evening [6pm start] racing to 'hide' from the heat,
we have lites available to us for after sunset racing

Like the idea as we talked about it on the phone. I think it would be great. Little cooler and lots of practice time if needed.

i like the idea of racing at night , wont be as hot and may be able to bring in some drivers however for me sunday night does not work for me because of my work i have to work at 9pm on sundays so , here is how i feel about it if it works for the club and you all loose one driver { me } but in return you gain three or more htan i say yes sunday night is the way to go and ill see you all indoors

Bad for out of towners. Plus it would be next to impossible to get sundays off (on a personal note).

Just a quik note on the suject
6pm start was just an idea
we are NOT locked into that starting time
IF?? starting earlier say 4pm would help get racers out [Like Zane & Glenn] I'm sure we could do that

I think OVRCCC has the nicest outside onroad facilities in Ohio and WV. Would be a total shame to let it die off, due to lack of attendence. Moving it to Sunday, dedicating it to it's own day, is a better idea than running it the same day as the dirt track. But letting the racers that might run onroad elsewhere especially on Saturday, have Sunday to come to OVRCCC and compete for an added day of racing. But the start time needs to be played with more for travel time for the out of towners. Maybe a vote to see if either a Day or Night race would draw more attendence..

The poll results show 13 to 2 or something in favore of sunday evening. I understand its bad for out of towners but if locals are clearly saying a change in schedule is wanted why wouldn't the club do it? Just sounds a bit odd to me.

The Club took the poll results into consideration when voting to stay with saturdays
the information from ALL racers was considered, discussed, and final determination made
